Imagine blending Tom Clancy’s The Division with a dash of DayZ and a sprinkle of The Last of Us, and you get The Day Before – an upcoming survival game that looks quite promising. While it might sound like an uneven amalgamation of games, FNTASTIC’s presentation of this zombie survival game so far is genuinely thrilling. The world you once knew has vanished, destroyed by the infected and opportunistic survivors. At this point, all you can do is survive from one day to the next, needing the right resources – food, water, transportation, firearms, and trustworthy allies. The Day Before immerses players into this open-world MMO, challenging them to seek out survivor colonies while evading many things (and people) trying to kill them.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world where a deadly virus has turned most of humanity into unconscious zombies, The Day Before puts players in the shoes of survivors who must band together to scavenge resources, fend off zombie attacks, and battle hostile factions vying for control of the wasteland. The game is designed to blend open-world exploration, survival mechanics, and PvP combat.
Taking place in a vast, fictionalized version of the United States, The Day Before allows players to use various modes of transportation, weapons, and equipment to aid their survival in the harsh wilderness. The game also features a day-night cycle, dynamic weather system, and a realistic physics engine that influences gameplay.
One unique aspect of The Day Before is its emphasis on player choices and consequences. Players will be able to make decisions that affect their character’s progression as well as the overall story and world events. According to the developers, there will be multiple storylines and endings based on player decisions.
In terms of multiplayer, The Day Before supports both cooperative and competitive PvP. Players can team up to build bases, scavenge resources, and fend off zombie hordes. Alternatively, players can engage in PvP battles to seize territories and resources from rival factions.
Developed using Unreal Engine 4, the game’s trailer showcases a level of visual detail rarely seen in large-scale multiplayer games, featuring detailed character models, realistic lighting, and intricate textures. Whether the final product lives up to this remains uncertain, but we approach it with cautious optimism, as usual.
The Day Before currently lacks a confirmed release date, but the game is expected to launch on PC in the near future, possibly on gaming consoles as well. If it delivers on its promises, The Day Before could be a game-changer in the realm of massive multiplayer online games.

- Subgenre: MMORPG
Wayfinder, developed by Airship Syndicate, the studio behind games like Battle Chasers: Nightwar and Darksiders Genesis, is an upcoming MMORPG set in a vast, fantastical world reminiscent of No Man’s Sky. Players can explore diverse environments, discover hidden treasures, and engage in battles with various creatures.
One of Wayfinder’s unique aspects is its focus on exploration and discovery. Unlike many MMORPGs that rely on quests and missions to drive the game forward, Wayfinder encourages players to explore the world on their own and uncover its secrets. Players can deviate from predetermined paths, discover unmarked hidden areas, dungeons, and treasures on the map.
Players can choose from various classes and races, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Classes range from traditional roles like warriors, mages, and thieves to more unique roles like geomancers (manipulating the environment using the power of earth) and sentinels (controlling the battlefield with traps and gadgets).
Wayfinder also features a unique crafting system, allowing players to collect resources and use them to craft powerful weapons, armor, and other items. The crafting system is designed to be accessible to players of various skill levels, and new item recipes can be discovered through exploration and experimentation.
One of the most exciting aspects of Wayfinder is its dynamic world events. These events can range from large-scale battles against powerful creatures to smaller, more intimate encounters with NPCs. These events are designed to be unpredictable, and players never know when or where they will occur. They offer unique rewards and challenges, providing an excellent opportunity for players to collaborate and form alliances.
The game will also provide a robust player housing system, allowing players to customize their homes and create their communities. The housing system enables players to build crafting stations, gardens, and other convenient facilities, offering unique benefits and rewards.

Singularity 6, a game developer comprised of industry veterans from RIOT Games, Zynga, and Blizzard Entertainment, is cooking up a blend with their upcoming game, Palia. There’s no denying that many players have high hopes for their debut, and Palia looks absolutely enchanting, entering public beta today.
Palia is an open-world, community-centric MMO set in a serene and picturesque land. In Palia, you’ll step into the shoes of a human, immersing yourself in this free-to-play multiplayer game, living a life of farming, building relationships, and perfecting your homestead.
Similar to Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing, Palia centers around lifestyle, allowing players to develop storylines involving friendships and romantic relationships. You’ll have the opportunity to befriend other players and some unique and adorable neighborhood creatures.
While you can freely wander around, players can also venture outside the town for more adventures. In the woods, you can hunt creatures, battle wolves, and engage in various exciting activities.
In Palia, players find themselves awakening as humans with no knowledge of their history. In the world of Palia, humans disappeared as a race thousands of years ago, and no one can determine the reason. Players need to join together as a community to unveil the secrets of their past.
So far, the screenshots and gameplay we’ve seen are gorgeous for a Nintendo Switch game, with fishing, gardening, and cooking looking particularly enjoyable.
