Over the weekend, Nintendo pleasantly surprised us by releasing a new demo for the upcoming open-world game, “Kirby and the Forgotten Land.” The free demo is now available on the Nintendo Switch eShop, offering players a taste of what’s to come in the full game, set to launch on March 25th.
The Demo Delight
This complimentary demo encompasses three levels from the game’s first world, including a thrilling boss battle against the formidable beast, Gorimondo. It serves as an exciting preview, giving players a glimpse into the vibrant and captivating universe of Kirby’s latest adventure.
Kirby’s “Inhale Mode”
One highlight of the demo is experiencing Kirby’s “Inhale Mode.” This unique ability allows Kirby to swallow real-world objects, gaining powerful transformations to overcome obstacles or solve puzzles. In the full game, Kirby can devour items such as cars, vending machines, light bulbs, or traffic cones – just to name a few.
Special Rewards
Completing the demo comes with an extra treat. Players receive a gift code upon completion, redeemable in the full version of “Kirby and the Forgotten Land” to unlock valuable in-game items. It adds an incentive for players to explore every aspect of the demo and get a head start in the full adventure.
Co-op Capabilities and Waddle Dee’s Town
The full game boasts a cooperative mode, allowing a second player to join in as Bandana Waddle Dee. Between levels, players can relax in Waddle Dee’s Town. As more Waddle Dees are rescued, the town evolves, featuring new shops and activities. Kirby can assist in the local café, upgrade his abilities at the weapon shop, or indulge in a bit of fishing during his downtime.
Ready, Set, Kirby!
To complement the demo’s release, Nintendo also unveiled a new overview trailer for “Kirby and the Forgotten Land.” The trailer beautifully showcases the anticipated content of this adorable game.
