Mastering Melee Finishers in Cyberpunk 2077: Unleashing the Brutality

In CD Projekt Red’s epic role-playing game, certain melee weapons come equipped with melee finishers, providing you with a unique way to dispatch enemies. Continue reading to learn how to unlock melee finishers in Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077: Executing Melee Finishers

To execute a finisher in Cyberpunk 2077, you first need to lower the enemy’s health to a critical level. Subsequently, you must perform a powerful melee attack directly in front of or behind the enemy. This step is crucial because you need to ensure that the damage inflicted by the power attack exceeds the remaining health of the enemy. Keeping a close eye on the enemy’s health is paramount to successfully executing a finisher.

Executing a powerful attack at the right moment during combat can be crucial for effectively defeating enemies. A good indicator is when the enemy falls to the ground in a supine position, but monitoring their health level is equally vital. However, it’s worth noting that you cannot perform finishers on enemies of considerably higher threat levels, typically six levels or more above yours. Additionally, specific distance thresholds must be met for a successful melee finisher.

In Cyberpunk 2077, players can default to multiple finishers using weapons such as the Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms, and Katana. For instance, the Katana can execute a finisher resulting in a gruesome explosion as the enemy’s head is severed. These melee finishers in Cyberpunk 2077 bear a striking resemblance to the bloody chaos kills seen in the Fallout series.

I’ve discovered that you can execute finishers on all hostile NPCs, including NCPD and MaxTech. However, you cannot perform finishers on standard civilians, as they would perish immediately. Once you master the art of executing melee finishers in Cyberpunk 2077, it becomes second nature, and you’ll find yourself executing it with every kill.

Unlocking Blunt Weapon Finishers in Cyberpunk

To unlock melee finishers for your blunt weapons, you must unlock the “Finisher: Savage Throw” skill in the Body attribute skill tree. To activate this finisher, press the F key when the enemy’s health is low. You’ll then throw the enemy, killing them and causing damage to other enemies where they land.

In addition to unlocking blunt weapon finishers, you can enhance melee finishers for other weapons, such as katanas. For example, new skills introduced in the 2.0 update will increase the finisher range by 100% (Hiking), making bleeding enemies more susceptible to melee finishers (Abattoir), or providing attack and speed boosts after executing a melee finisher (Dance of Steel). Make sure to explore the skill tree for your preferred weapons to learn how to elevate your melee finisher game!

Unlocking Edged Weapon Finishers in Cyberpunk

Players can unlock finishers for edged weapons in Cyberpunk 2077 through the Reflexes attribute skill tree. On the right branch of the Reflexes skill tree, you’ll find the “Blades” skill, which is a crucial component for unlocking finishers for edged weapons.

To progress to the “Blades” skill, you need to spend two points on “Lead and Steel” and then invest three points in “Blades.” In other words, to have the chance to unlock edged weapon finishers in Cyberpunk 2077, a total of 5 skill points is required.

If you need assistance in gaining enough skill points to unlock the “Blades” skill, ensure to focus on completing both main and side quests in the game world. Completing objectives is the fastest way to earn enough experience points for skill points.
